Garrett Schmidt
Garrett Schmidt is 14 years old and lives in Tennessee Ridge, TN . He will be in the 9th grade this upcoming school year, at Houston County High School. His parents are Jason and Lori Schmidt. He has only one sibling, Gavin Schmidt, he is a senior at Univeristy of Tennessee at Martin. Like Garrett, Gavin races crate late model number 19 at Clarksville Speedway. Not only does Garrett enjoy racing he also participates in 4-H cattle shows, and livestock judging and grilling teams. He also, likes riding his 4-wheeler and playing basketball.
Garrett started racing go-karts and champ karts at the age of 5. He has raced all over the states of Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, and Kentucky. He has won several awards for karting over the years. After racing go-karts and champs for 7 years he decided to try 4-cylender cars.
For the last two years Garrett has been racing mini-modified at Clarksville Speedway, and won Track Championship last year. He really enjoys racing and meeting new people. He is thing about moving up in classes at the track next year.
